BRITE bites Welcome!

 Welcome to our blog! We are so excited to finally launch this platform and be able to share updates of our journey with you. For my first post, I’d like to start by introducing our story and purpose to anyone who might be new to the BRITE bite community.

First and foremost, I want to explain the meaning behind our name. The ultimate goal of BRITE bites is to keep motivated, on-the-go individuals energized and satisfied. This company is fueled by a passion for healthy living and a mission to promote a simplified and productive lifestyle. That being said, when Founder and CEO Bri Makaric named her probiotic snack bites, she wanted to make her message clear to consumers: Be BRITE. Like our product, it’s simple. BRITE stands for our core values: Balanced. Real. Integrity. Trust. Energy.

 

Be Balanced. Maybe you’re a college student taking 17 credit hours while trying to maintain a social life and normal sleep schedule, an adult juggling bills, family, and 40+ hours of work a week, or someone who is in the awkward stage between college life and adulthood (like me) when you’re freshly graduated, struggling to find a career, and trying to map out the next 30 years of your life (also like me). Regardless of who you are, learning to balance your time and responsibilities is key to living a healthy life. Make time for yourself, your hobbies, and your loved ones. Take a moment every day to stop whatever you’re doing and just BREATHE. Be productive and make each day worthwhile, but don’t lose yourself in the process.

Stay Real. No matter how hectic life gets, it’s important to remember your roots. Be true to who you are, your goals, and the standards you set for yourself. Be realistic and authentic in everything you do. Leave time in your agenda to work towards your personal goals, whatever they may be, and actually follow through with your intentions.

Show Integrity. This one doesn’t come easy at times. It’s convenient to blame your schedule, your family, personal problems, etc. for not putting your health first. The truth is, there will always be an excuse not to workout, to go for a walk, to eat healthy. I used to blame my hour and a half commute to and from work every day. It was my excuse for everything— being cranky and lethargic, not going to the gym, driving like a reckless a**hole at 5:30 in the morning… the list goes on and on. But no matter how bad or chaotic life may seem, someone always has it worse. It’s OK to have bad days, but don’t let it control how you treat others, or yourself. Have the integrity to accept life as it comes without letting it change you.

Gain Trust. Speaking of bad days… there will be setbacks and obstacles in every journey you embark on. That’s just life. Trusting the process during these difficult times is the only way to get through them. Everything—both good and bad—happens for a reason. Trust that you will reach your goals. Trust that you are capable of creating and maintaining a healthy life for yourself. Trust that it will be worth it.

Spread Energy. POSITIVE energy that is. I know it sounds cliché, but you truly can make a difference in someone’s life, as well as your own. Smile, and life will smile back at you. Let’s make The Beach Boys proud and send some ~Good Vibrations~ to one another!

Moral of the story: Be BRITE! ;)
